Prairie Dog Ecosystem Science Library

With over 2,600 entries, the online library catalogs articles from a wide range of sources including scientific and trade publications, magazines, and community resources. Many article abstracts and hard-copies are available by request.

Instructions to use the online library:

Enter your keywords in the search box below, press the Search button, and articles with matching words in the title, author name, or article abstract will be displayed.
Only exact matches against your keywords will be made, so for example the use of wildcards as in "eco*" will not return any matches.
Optionally, you may limit your search to a sub-set of species by selecting those you want from the "Species" list box next to the Search field. Use the up and down arrows to see all items on the list. You may choose multiple species by holding down the "Crtl" key as you are highlighting your choices with the left mouse button
If an abstract is available, it will be indicated by a View Abstract link on the entry returned by your search.
If a hard copy is available for a given article, an e-mail link will appear on the returned entry.
Use the Reset button to reset your search values to their original values. And use the Home link to return to this page.

In cases where only a hard copy of the article is available, individuals may request a single copy of up to seven separate articles.

The articles included in this database were selected based on their objectivity and scientific merit. These resources are provided solely for educational purposes.
